(b) Participants who arrive in Italy through any other Schengen country (such as Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, etc.) should obtain a visa from the embassy or consulate of the country of first landing.
(c) Prof. Maria Renata Dolce will e-mail a letter of invitation to those participants who request it as requirements for leave of absence from their universities and/or their visa.

Air Travel to Lecce - BRINDISI AIRPORT
General advisory for people travelling by air to Lecce: Please note that international flights are handled mainly from Milan Malpensa Airport and Rome Fiumicino Airport, while domestic low cost fights from Milan/Rome to Apulia are handled by Milan Linate Airport and Rome Ciampino Airport. Please, check your timetable and airport connections. Sometimes travelling from Milan/Rome to Lecce by train can be the best option (see the section “by train” below).
Brindisi Airport (BDS) is the closest airport to Lecce. It is located about 40 km outside Lecce and offers budget flights to various destinations in Europe. View Brindisi Airport's web site
